Emily McLean & her adorable Fjord gelding, Torgrim, photographed at Appleatchee in Wenatchee, WA. Emily's husband gifted her this session for her birthday. I couldn't think of a better gift myself! Emily found horses through Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center about 6 years ago. She learned firsthand how horses know just exactly what we need for healing. Alatheia has all Fjords in their program, so it makes a lot of sense that Emily fell in love with the breed and needed one

Kaytee & Samuel Mundell, one of the coolest couples that I'm so lucky to know! I first met Kaytee when she modeled for me and Rachel Reilly, who was in town for my own session in 2022. Then, in 2023, I hosted a content retreat and had Kaytee and Samuel both model for us. And now, in 2025, I finally made it to their side of the mountains to capture them together with 3 of their mares. We did some Redmond Relyte photos & then had some fun in the roping pen!

Meghan rides and shows in reining under the guidance of Ceddia Performance Horses based in Ohio. Last year when I did Meghan's first session, she had Flinn at school at Keith's! I had the master horse groomer, Clare Swanson, share her process for getting horses ready for me to come photograph them with their girls. Clare works with Chelsea Carlson at Red's Show Horses in McMinnville, OR. I always really look forward to the sessions I get to do with Chelsea's riders not only because she has some of most Because photoshoots can be long and demanding for horses, preparing them properly is essential to ensure they look and feel their best on camera. A magical evening with Steph and Tim Gilliland at Tim's parents' ranch in Imlay City, Michigan.
